V8 Supercar driver Marcus Marshall and his Glenfords AEG V8 Supercar will make a special visit to the Joondalup Glenfords Tool Centre in the lead up to round three of the V8 Supercar Championship Series at Barbagallo later this month.

Marshall will be the special guest at the Glenfords Tool Centre on Wednesday 10 May from 2-3pm, signing autographs and having pictures with V8 Supercar fans.

Paul Dumbrell has been found guilty of reckless driving by a CAMS hearing in Melbourne.

The charge related to the incident that caused race three at Pukekohe to be red flagged and has resulted in Dumbrell being hit with a $15,000 fine and a deduction of 75 championship points.

However, despite the verdict, Dumbrell will still race in the Perth V8 400 from 6-8 May although in the Team Perkins Racing #7 Autobarn-liveried Commodore instead of his usual #24 Castrol Holden.

Kmart Racing duo Greg Murphy and Rick Kelly will have some 'super hero help' in their attempts to retain the Bathurst 1000 title, after unveiling the new look VY Commodore they will use this weekend.

Featuring a striking 'Spider-Man 2' livery on its flanks to promote Kmart's 'Amazing Toy Sale' which starts on next week, the new livery is sure to be a winner with the kids, especially given that Spider-Man 2 toys will on the letters to Santa before Christmas.

Kmart Racing has settled its driver line-up for the annual V8 Supercar endurance races with confirmation that experienced V8 campaigner Cameron McLean and European Touring Car Championship star Andy Priaulx have signed with the team.

McLean and Priaulx will drive the second Kmart Racing Commodore in the Betta Electrical Melbourne 500 at Sandown and the Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 at Bathurst alongside regular drivers Greg Murphy and Rick Kelly.

Kmart Racing team manager Rob Crawford said securing the signatures of McLean and Priaulx was a boost for the team.

Pirtek Falcon driver, Marcos Ambrose, has dominated another race meeting to steal the 2003 V8 Supercar Championship lead from Jason Bright.

The tough 300km race proved a challenge for many, with only five cars finishing on the lead lap and a long list of retirements littering the bottom end of the time sheets.

Craig Lowndes fought a clever race to finish second, with HRT owner Mark Skaife claiming third and his first podium finish since the opening round of the season.

In the shadows of Mount Panorama, the mountain that made him famous, Australian motor racing legend Peter Brock has had his final practice run prior to Saturday's start to the 2003 Australian Safari.

The nine-time Bathurst winner declared himself and his four-wheel-drive Holden Rally Team Motorola Rodeo ready to tackle the event, described as Australia's most gruelling race.

"This new Rodeo is a bit of a monster truck and I believe we are well enough prepared to handle anything the Safari can dish up to us," Brock said.
